What is an insurance broker and how can they help me?

If you have been in business for some time, you will probably know the benefits of working with an insurance broker.

Simply put, our role is to assist you by providing impartial advice and sourcing the best insurance solutions to meet your requirements. We explain insurance terminology to you in plain English, and will take the time to understand, first-hand, your individual needs and expectations.

Clients requiring a portfolio of policies will often find that their best interests are served by arranging their insurances with more than one insurance company. This is where a broker can really demonstrate his value. Rather than being restricted to any one company, we will use our market knowledge and expertise to identify the best policies from across the industry – ensuring you are protected by the most suitable solution for you and your business needs.

Our History

We commenced trading as Glentworth Insurance Services from our Weston-super-Mare office in 2003. From these humble beginnings, we have established ourselves as a highly-respected commercial insurance broker with four branches in the South West, also trading from Bovey Tracey in Devon, Minehead in Somerset and Portishead, Bristol.

Over the years our client base has grown substantially and we now look after the insurance needs of thousands of businesses of all shapes and sizes. We have also built up excellent relationships with leading insurers, enabling us to offer our clients the best cover options from a wide range of quality providers.

What Sets Us Apart?

We pride ourselves upon being independent and putting our clients’ needs first every time.

With an increasing number of insurance brokers being owned by or striking deals with insurance companies, Glentworth is among the rare breed of brokers who can claim genuine independence, with free rein to find the best solutions for our clients without any constraints whatsoever. All business at Glentworth is brokered in the true interests of our clients.

In addition, we place a high level of importance on the personal approach we bring to our work. We are very much a face-to-face organisation, and our clients find this especially valuable in the event of making a claim.

Should an incident occur requiring a claim to be made, your designated point of contact will visit you at the first possible opportunity to assess the situation, gather all the facts and explain how the claims process will work. From then on, we will handle everything for you – from reporting the claim to your insurance company to sourcing service providers for repair work.

Your advisor, working with our skilled and experienced team, will deal with your claim behind the scenes in an efficient, personal and professional manner, leaving you free to continue with the important work of running your business.
